Sao Can, legitimate son of sugar cane sinks its roots in sugar plantations since the mid-nineteenth century. It was consumed by our rebels mixed with honey and it was called "Canchánchara". It constitutes a drink appreciated by our peasants and fishermen in their daily hard work. Also, the well accepted "Saoco", musicalized by the unforgettable Beny Moré in the 50's and tasted by thousands of people around the world.
