The liquor tradition in Cuba emerged with the birth of the first Light Rum in our country in the late nineteenth century, a rum -based spirit drink secretly created in the city of Santiago de Cuba to share even with those closest friends or in memorable and magical celebrations. The story goes that when the first airplane landed in Santiago, in 1911, the pilot James Ward was presented with a bottle of Elixir santiaguero.
Years later, in the central region of the country, a new spirit, the famous San Jacobo Elixir, was produced in the distillery "El Infierno" by the Beguiristain family. Today Cubay brand is back with an Elixir in its contemporary interpretation, maintaining the distinctive features of its predecessor.
Elixir 33 is a natural product designed from traditional techniques and processes, which has achieved a unique aroma and bouquet, able to delight the most discerning palates. As it is aged from the heart of the oak barrels, we can appreciate the mixture of good old rum with fruity compounds, subject to its finish to a fusion process, which print softness and pleasure with a very refined and pleasant chocolate background.
