The Cuba Ron S.A. Corporation joins the group of institutions that ensure compliance with the hygienic sanitary measures against Covid-19. Pedro César Rosa Jorge, Occupational Health and Safety Specialist of the Corporation's Presidency, shares the details of the work that each area of the institution has been developing and how it affects the factories.
“From the first day that the positive cases began in Cuba, the institution drew up a strategy that led to a dynamic measures plan, which was approved by the Board of Directors, which is checked weekly in an Operational Meeting in the presence of the managers of the corporate system; this plan of measures has the mission of preventing and confronting the pandemic ”.
What are the specific actions that the entity carries out since a worker arrives at the entity?
“We have workers who are in charge of disinfecting cars, taking the temperature at the entrance to the center and sanitizing all areas and premises, using alcohol and 5% chlorinated solutions. In addition, an internal protocol is designed for the detection of any worker with respiratory symptoms, who would be transferred immediately to the corresponding health authority "
We must keep in mind that all the actions developed by the corporation derive from the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Public Health and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security with the application of teleworking and remote work, in addition to the provisions of our ministry and the direction of the country.
How is this process controlled?
"Our plan of measures is extensive to all dependencies of the corporate system taking into account the phase applied in the province where it is located. The reports of each of these units are received daily and discussed in the coordination meeting, where there is a statistics system created for the analysis of health indicators ”.
“We have to continue producing and marketing our products and continue to carry out the work we have been doing until now. At this moment, we are reinforcing what is stipulated to guarantee that our work is just as efficient ”.
“In contexts like this where public awareness must prevail, it is necessary to think as a country, as a great team, and continue to respect health protocols to contribute to that great whole that unites us: Cuba”
