Haila María Mompié, one of the most popular Cuban singer of popular Cuban dance music, gave a concert on September 24th at the Salón Rojo of Hotel Capri, an event that was sponsored by the Cuba Ron Corporation SA.
In the renowned cabaret -located in the Vedado, Havana, Haila joined the show company Cuba Show to receive the public and friends, among whom there were David Calzado (director of Charanga Habanera, Grammy-nominated 2016) and Lázaro Valdés (leader of Bamboleo), both important interpreters of Cuban popular dance music.
The vocalist -also famous for her participation in the talent show "Sonando en Cuba" 2016- played songs from her successful album "Mala", and gave a preview of other from the album she is currently producing "Mujer de Acero". She also paid tribute to the legend Celia Cruz, when she sang the vibrant "Kimbara".
